Our founder, Gary Stewart, is a former managing director of Techstars NYC who managed a $1.6 billion start-up portfolio. He is a serial entrepreneur with an exit, an investor with a 12-year track record in America and Europe and a visiting lecturer of entrepreneurship at Yale Law School. This experience helped him to see that while start-up accelerators and graduate schools are great and needed, they are inaccessible to the vast majority of entrepreneurs. Soon after coming up with the idea for FounderTribes, Gary met Rico, a sales and marketing executive who believed so much in the idea that he became both an investor and a co-founder. But they realized that their team was not complete until they met Matan Yariv, who had recently left the 8200 unit of the Israeli Defense Fund, where he was an R&D tech lead specialized in AI-driven systems. The final piece of the puzzle was Sherwyn Saul, a serial technical co-founder with an exit and more than 20 years of experience in software development. They are working to launch FounderTribes to leverage the power of AI to level the playing field for all entrepreneurs across the globe.
